At least being good at maths and chemistry is better than good at nothing. If their maths and chemistry are not even satisfactory they should never choose science subjects. Comparing to maths and chemistry, biology and physics are alot easier. You need to mermorise all the stuff in biology and know the concepts about physics and then you will be fine in f.3. It would be more appropriate for a guy to study science subjects if he/she is good at maths, physics, biology and chemistry. But everyone are not genius! It is unlikely for all of them to be very good in every single science subjects.
