I don't agree with your point. Why do you need to say that 'something' is 'a cat and a dog'? 'something' is uncountable. 'a cat and a dog' is countable. How come you mixed them together?

I MEAN you should consider 'a cat and a dog' as ONE THING which is uncountable but not "a cat" and "a dog"
You still do not know what I mean. You should ignore whether it is "a cat or a dog", but only Something (that is uncountable). You only need to consider it to be a matter.
