Handy device
I am writing to express my opinion on whether schools should permit students to bring their mobile phones.
Although our school has banned handsets from the premises, I think they are necessary for some students. For example, I learn the piano every Thursday. If my teacher wants to cancel the lesson at the last moment, he can always reach me on my mobile phone.
Our school authorities do not allow mobile phones because they are worried that students will lose the expensive devices.
I don't agree. The ban has forced some students to hide the mobile phones in their schoolbags. This can lead to theft. Conversely, if our school lifts the ban, students can put the mobile phones in their pockets and they will be safe. The school can set up some rules before allowing handset on the campus.
