According to your link to the Pokemon trading card game world championship 2004, it says that only Expedition, Aquapolis, Skyridge, EX-Ruby & Sapphire, EX-Sandstorm, Ex-Dragon, and Ex-Team Magma and Aqua can be played in this tournament. So, it is not possible for the people in Toyland Castle to play the Blastoise-Walrein deck in the tournament.

I think the people in toyland castle did not use Blastoise's Pokemon Power correctly. Here is an extract from the card Blastoise in base set: Pokemon Power: Rain Dance: as often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may attach 1 water energy card to 1 of your water pokemon. (this doesn't use up your 1 energy card attachment per turn.) This power can't be used if Blastoise is Asleep, Confused or Paralyzed. From above, we can see that we can only attach two energy cards to our pokemon in a turn if we have one Blastoise in play. Obviously, if the people in toyland castle have been putting unlimited water enrgy cards to their pokemon, they must be cheating. |
