There are some mistakes that you might find in your compostions:

1. Although Robert is good-looking, but he is stupid. (Wrong sentence)

The correct one should be:
Although Robert is good-looking, he is stupid./ Robert is good looking but he is stupid.

2. Michael is bad manner. (Wrong sentence)

The correct one should be:
Michael has bad manners.

These are the mistakes that I have found from my classmate's composition. Is there any common Chinese/English errors which you have come across? If there are any, please share with us.

Few days ago, in my English lesson, I have learnt some interesting things. Now, here are some adverbs+adjectives. Try to define which of the followings are correct:

1. Totally tired
2. Totally confused
3. Absolutely silly
4. Slightly short
5. A bit tall

The anwsers:

Totally tired (x)
Totally confused (x)
Absolutely silly (x)
Slightly short (tick)
A bit tall (x)

Reason: It is related to the degree of the adverb and adjective. An extreme adverb goes with an extreme adjective. E.g. totally amazing    However, a weak adverb goes with a negative adjective. E.g. a little stupid
