有一款網上熱門卡牌遊戲叫「爐石戰記」(hearthstone), 在遊戲當中引入了大量隨機事件,大部份都不是玩家可以控制,任由系統自行決定如何發生, 因此外國玩家將之稱為Random Number Game(RNG), 有玩家覺得雙方用同一組卡牌卻往往有些人運氣較好自己卻要輸掉,認為是一個「玩運」的遊戲, 不過亦有玩家指出,所謂的RNG就是考驗玩家"Management of Random Number"的遊戲。 當然有時候遇上逆天的運氣是在所難免,不過正正是這些不可預測的結果, 增加了遊戲的趣味性,在Youtube上每星期都出現不少「爐石」的Epic play/Epic fail,這正是遊戲之所以吸引的地方。
