Problem connecting online battle...

I used to play my bw2 on my nds , and now i switched to 3DS and now i cant connect to the online battle...always saying that i have to wait 1 day for the time  change until you can connect the online battle... it didnt even connected to the nintendo wifi and stop me from connecting..
i tried changing the time but it didnt work.
please help

樓主你要等一天再連接WI-FI. 或者你有無改過你3DS既時間?

yes i have but ive  keep trying to set the time but it doesnt work  , i know u need to wait , i have waited but doesnt work..btw i have not updated my 3ds for a long time ,will that effect the time?
also mine is japanese version 3DS...
