ｕ不一定是響音，
當ｕ字作單音發音，就不是響音；
即假如Ｕｎｉｖｅｒｓｉｔｙ讀作〔Ｕｎ〕〔ｎｉ〕〔ｖｅｒ〕〔ｓｉｔｙ〕
就要用ａｎ，
但是實際上，讀成：〔Ｕ〕〔ｎｉ〕〔ｖｅｒ〕〔ｓｉｔｙ〕，所以ｕ唔係響音

至於Ｈｏｕｒ，因為Ｈ沒有音，只提高音掉，因此字音是讀作：〔ｏｕｒ〕
ｏ字係響音，所以用ａｎ

再舉一例：
ＭＴＲ是用的ｔｈｅ是讀作〔ｄｅｅ〕的，
原因是：Ｍ單讀是響音
