1. The Hootons covered their entire living room floor with a new rug. The rug cost $ 18.00/m and the Hootons paid total of $ 360.00 for the rug. What is the area of their living room??

I think it is equation    Can anybody help me???

Let the area of their living room be x.

18x=360
   x= 20

The area of their living room is 20m^2.
