To what extent was the outbreak of the WW II due to the appeasement policy adopted by Britain and France?

據某文科朋友說這是05AL的題目，題目相當straight forward，但某文科朋友說當年EAA指大多數人做不好這條essay，原因是"they merely focus on various factors leading to wwii"和"memorized prepared answer"。
to a small extent說appeasement policy如何導致WWII，to a large extent說說其他factors，重點要證明其他factors比appeasement policy重要，比如說appeasement policy只是助長，Facism和Nazism本身的興起才是initiator(?)...

無論to a small extent定係to a large extent, 講appeasement policy的篇幅要佔2/3
分別在於to a small extent要用駁論技巧, 而to a large extent就只係要以史實作析述
