England striker Michael Owen has agreed to sign for Newcastle from Real Madrid.
The 25-year-old will have a medical on Tuesday before signing a four-year deal, according to the official Newcastle website.

MICHAEL Owen was today poised to become a Newcastle United player after agreeing to join the Magpies on a four-year deal.
The 25-year-old was due to undergo a medical this afternoon, after Real Madrid accepted what was a club record transfer offer from United.
The fee beats that paid to Blackburn Rovers for the signing of Alan Shearer back in the summer of 1996.
And ecstatic chairman Freddy Shepherd believes the arrival of Owen would rank on a par with that fantastic transfer.
